I am excited to announce the upcoming publication of the book: JingJin Yoga: Fascial Stretches Combining Asanas & Energy Pathways with my co-author Deborah Valentine Smith.
Presented as a practical manual, the book introduces a new modality that we developed, which is a marriage of the JingJin of Chinese Medicine, (The “TendinoMuscular Meridians”) with the time tested asanas of Yoga.
We have refined the poses to specifically target the fascia through which the JingJin run.
Keep your eye on my blog for more details.
Barbara “Teddy” Piotrowski, RN, HNB-BC, BA, Dipl. ABT (NCCAOM), C-IAYT is a Board Certified Holistic Nurse with more than 40 years of medical experience as a Registered Nurse. She is a Certified Yoga Therapist, a Diplomate of Asian Bodywork Therapy, with an expertise in Shiatsu and Acupressure, and a Reiki Master, for over 20 years. In 2000, Teddy founded Greater Harmony, combining her experience as a Registered Nurse with her understanding of Eastern healing arts. The self-care benefits Eastern therapies provide is a piece that was missing in her Western-based medical training. She loves bringing her blended experience to help her students and clients meet their wellness goals. Teddy is the sole-proprietor of Greater Harmony.
Through the years Teddy has assisted individuals in all stages of life; children and teens, couples working through fertility concerns, and older adults. Along with her own growth and acceptance of the Science of Yoga, and other Eastern therapeutic ideals, she nourished the growth of her company Greater Harmony, a business totally dedicated to promoting the benefits of a healthier and more energetic way of life.
After 25 years of practicing and being my assistant at Greater Harmony, I am happy to announce my husband, John "Pit" Piotrowski, has received his 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate in October of 2020.
